KitzSki Kitzbühel-Kirchberg - Kitzbühel Alps

KitzSki - the famous skiing area on the Ehrenbachhöhe and Mt. Hahnenkamm with its mythic “Streif” is located in the Kitzbühel Alps

In the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps, only a few km from the Chamois' Town, there's the skiing area of the Bergbahn Kitzbühel AG. Since years now, the spectacular Kitz 3S Cable Car has been connected the actual Kitzbühel Skiing Area to Jochberg, Pass Thurn and Mittersill creating a skiing area which nowadays includes seven municipalities in two Austrian states, Tyrol and Salzburg. Furthermore, with a valid ski ticket, you can use the indoor pool of the Aquarena Kitzbühel for half of the price.

The Fleckalm Cable Car takes you from Kirchberg right onto 188 km of ski slopes and 41 km of wonderful ski routes. And then the choice is yours: Would you like to ski down the mythic "Streif", or maybe you prefer the beautiful wooded slopes of Kirchberg, or do the XL Route on the KitzSki Line from peak to peak? The skiing area with its Bärenland (literally: bear country) with hand-carved life-size bears, the "Kids go free days" and the Family Slope is considered really family-friendly. Skiing at the practice lifts in the valley - in Kitzbühel, Aschau, Reith and Jochberg - is free.

For snowboarders, however, there are two parks, the Snow Park Kitzbüheler Horn with Fun Slope and the KitzSki Snow Park on the Hangl Alpine Pasture. But Kitzbühel is also famous for its parties! Every year in January, the ski elite meets here for the Hahnenkamm Race weekend. From the Bavarian places of Munich, Holzkirchen and Rosenheim, you can do the journey to the KitzSki Kitzbühel-Kirchberg also in all comfort with the daily KitzSki Xpress. As the previous season's snow is conserved in the KitzSki snow depots, the new ski season can already start in late autumn.
