Mt. Rangger Köpfl with its flat top is located about 12 km in the west of Innsbruck and offers easy and medium ski slopes.
The Rangger Köpfl, whose name derives from the small locality Ranggen, is located at Oberperfuss near Innsbruck and boasts 17 km of well groomed mostly easy and medium ski slopes, ideal for beginners. A free ski bus connects the Alpine City of Innsbruck to the Rangger Köpfl skiing area - the six Oberperfusser Bergbahnen lift facilities take you on the mountain with its rather flat top.
From the top you can enjoy a fabulous view on the Mieminger, Wetterstein and Karwendel mountain chains, the Kaisergebirge mountain range, the Lechtal and Tux Alps as well as the Stubai Glacier. A special focus is set on children with the Kids Park, featuring a magic carpet and an exercise lift. Near the mountain station of the gondola lift there's also a small Fun Park with kickers and obstacles. A great pleasure for adults, however, is nightime skiing and tobogganing on the illuminated slopes as well as après-ski in one of the cosy ski huts.
The 1,939 m high skiing mountain Rangger Köpfl with its Stiglreith, Sulzstich und Rosskogelhütte ski huts offers also a 10 km long natural toboggan run (8 km can be illuminated). The Snow Card Tyrol (more than 90 skiing areas in Tyrol), the Freizeitticket Tyrol (32 skiing areas and other leisure time facilities in Tyrol) and the SKI plus CITY Pass (13 skiing areas around Innsbruck and the Stubaital valley, formerly known as Olympia SkiWorld Innsbruck) are valid in this skiing area.
