The Zillertal Arena is one of the largest and most modern skiing areas of Austria and includes the localities of Zell and Gerlos on Tyrolean territory as well as Königsleiten, Wald and Krimml in Salzburg. Here you are really spoilt for choice, e.g. with the Zell am Ziller ski run, Austria's longest downhill valley run, boasting 1,930 metres of vertical drop.
Snowboarders love the Arena Hot-Zone Snow Park with halfpipe in Gerlos, the Kreuzwiese Action Park in Zell and the Hochkrimml Fun Park. Speedy racers, however, will enjoy the permanent race tracks such as the Speed Check Run in Hochkrimml and in Königsleiten. Furthermore, a special children's programme, a pick up service, day childcare and snow sailing as well as the children-friendly slopes make kids' holidays in the Zillertal Arena Ski Region varied.
A highlight is the Arena Coaster, a toboggan run on rails at the Zell am Ziller valley station. By the way: Did you know that in this area the ski runs are cut and biologically fertilized? This has a positive impact on biodiversity and the overall appearance of the landscape.
