The family-friendly skiing area in the Lechtal valley is accessible from the village of Bach by the Lechtaler Bergbahnen lift facilities.

On the sunny side of the Lechtal valley, the Lechtaler Bergbahnen lifts take you up at 1,800 m a.s.l. The ascent with the new 8-seater Jöchelspitze Gondola alone is an adventure, as it overcomes a drop of 600 metres, making you experience a great view from the Lechtal Alps to the Allgäu Alps.
Surrounded by a breathtaking alpine landscape, at the valley station of the Jöchelspitze Skiing Area there's the Jöchelspitze practice lift for children and beginners. The third lift facility is the Gföllberg Lift in Holzgau, 4 km away, but also part of the skiing area. It can be used with the same ticket. This T-bar lift starts near the church and takes you to a easy and a medium difficult ski slope.
So if you seek a calm and small skiing area for some sunny days on the slopes, the skiing area on Mt. Jöchelspitze, a 2,226 m high peak of the Allgäu Alps, is the right place for you. Its southern slope is, by the way, in winter also highly appreciated by paragliders and hang-gliders which find here, in a protected inner-alpine position, outstanding thermals for a great winter day.
