On the sunny side of the Lechtal valley, the Lechtaler Bergbahnen lift facilities take you up at 1,800 m a.s.l. The ascent with the Jöchelspitze double chairlift alone is an adventure, as it overcomes a drop of 600 metres, making you experience a great view on the Lechtal Alps to the Allgäu Alps.
At the lower terminus of the Lechtaler Bergbahnen lift facilities there's the Jöchelspitze practice lift for children and beginners. If you seek a calm and small skiing area for some sunny days on the slopes, the skiing area at the Jöchelspitze, a 2,226 m high peak of the Allgäu Alps, is the right place for you. Moreover, the Lechtal valley offers the Gföllberglift Holzgau ski lift:
It starts from the centre of Holzgau and takes kids and beginners to an easy slope and another one of medium difficulty (starting from Christmas). The ski ticket of the Jöchelspitze skiing area can be used also here! The Snow Card Tyrol (more than 90 skiing areas in Tyrol) and the 3TälerPass (33 skiing areas in the Bregenzerwald, the Allgäu and the Grosses Walsertal and Lechtal valleys) are valid in the Jöchelspitze skiing area in the Lechtal valley.
