The Füssener Jöchle Gondola, one of the five lift factilies of the Sonnenbergbahnen Grän, takes you from the village of Grän up to 1,823 m a.s.l. There you can enjoy the 9 km of ski slopes of Mt. Füssener Jöchl above the Tannheimer Valley, rated as easy and medium difficult.
In good weather conditions, the fantastic view from the mountain peak reaches until Neuschwanstein Castle in Southern Bavaria. In the valley, however, the Märchenwiesen (Fairytale Meadows) Lift gives the small ones the possibility to make first steps on skis. Due to snow cannons covering 80% of the Füssener Jöchle Skiing Area, fun on the slopes is guaranteed until spring.
By the way: The Grän lift operating company was founded already in 1967, in the same year the first ski tow was opened. In 1970/71, the chairlift was inaugurated - at that time Europe's longest double-seat chairlift without intermediate station (2,630 m a.s.l.).
