Marble Forest on Mt. Glungezer

In the alpine world of experience on Mt. Glungezer, there’s the biggest wooden ball run facility in the world.

At the “Halsmarter” intermediate station of the Glungezerbahn cable car on Mt. Glungezer, local mountain of Tulfes and popular hiking and skiing area, a very particular world of experience was founded at 1,560 m asl. The so-called “Kugelwald” (Marble Forest) offers the world’s biggest wooden ball run in the open countryside!

But the 8,000 sqm big world of experience has even more to offer. A big tree house, a place where the kids can build by themselves, sound elements, the Forest Classroom and the Magic Tree are the highlights. Those who want to take a rest can find an own relaxation area. Tables and sitting accommodations are ideal to do a picnic and the near Halsmarter tavern offers local dishes.

Only natural wood was used to realise the adventure world in countless hours of volunteer work. It is located at the beginning of one of the biggest Swiss pine populations of Europe. Also the Stone Pine Path proceeds through this particular landscape. It is 7 km long and snakes its way through the wonderful landscape between Mt. Patscherkofel and Mt. Glungezer.
