Wo-Bä-Lu Geocaching

The geocaching in the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis region at Lake Wolfsee follows the traces of wolf, bear and lynx, a particular treasure hunt.

Starting point of a very special paper chase, is the information office of Fiss. The new Geocaching Park App takes you on the traces of wolf, lynx and bear, native animal species on the beautiful high plateau in former times. From the village we walk to the Wolfsee area at more than 1,200 m asl. There a bear cave, the lynx territory and a wolf den can be found.

But the Wolfsee area offers more. Just 5 minutes away, there is an Indian village with a tipi and stake. And after a successful paper chase you will receive an appreciation in the form of a stick pin. Further geocaching in the region of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis can be done at Lake Högsee at the Bear Caching Park, and at the Dorf-Geocache Ladis in searching for the knight’s treasure.

But what is geocaching? Is is quasi a GPS paper chase. With an app on your smartphone you can follow digital maps and geographic data to find the geocache. Mostly this is a water-resistant box with a little barter object inside. You can take it and place something else for the next adventurer. Usually there is also a logbook.
