Längenfeld Source of Strength

Some very particular power places in the area of Längenfeld in the beautiful Oetztal valley help to recover, unwind and relax.

The whole area around Längenfeld is deemed to be a huge energy field. Within this field some very special power places can be discovered as part of the "Längenfeld Source of Strength". Along the hiking paths yellow signposts lead to spots, which are rumoured to have a particular power. As a power place a geographic place with special terrestrial radiation is labelled, which achieves a positive psychological effect, for example calming, strengthening or relaxing. The "Längenfeld Source of Strength" (Kraftquell Längenfeld, in German) consists of 10 power places, two of them are thematic paths. Along the Sagenweg path, 14 sagas are simulated, also life-size figures and dragons appear (starting point: football ground in Huben, walking time: 2 hours).

The second one is the Gries Reflection Path which starts at the beautiful Mary Help of Christians Church (walking time: 1 hour). Another power place is the Längenfeld Chain Bridge, a steel construction which hangs 220 m above the valley bottom. It is accessible within a circular walk, walking time approx. 3 hours. Thrill is guaranteed! Further power places are the Local Heritage Museum Oetztal valley and the Pest Chapel from the 17th century, which is accessible within 45 minutes starting in Längenfeld.

Also the impressive nature must not be lacking: the Lehner Waterfall (starting point: Local Heritage Museum Oetztal valley, walking time: 50 minutes), Lake Winkelberg with its education trail (starting point: Au-Winklen, walking time: 2.5 hours), the Strelesperre Rock Path at the Fischbach brook (starting point: Fischbach Bridge in Längenfeld, walking time: 2.5 hours round tour) and two observation decks (Adlerblick and Teufelskanzel) can be discovered. By the way: Längenfeld is also a medical high altitude centre, also football teams come here for their training!
