The Disc Trail combines a play with hiking - a wooden disc accompanies visitors on their way to the Froneben Mountain Hut.

Schlick 2000, a popular hiking area at the foot of the Kalkkögel mountains, is located in the heart of the Stubaital valley, about 20 km from Innsbruck. The network of adventure trails created there offers not only the StubaiBlick viewing platform and a nature trail with various interactive stations, but also the Schlick Disc Trail (Scheibenweg, in German) with a special wooden companion.
Starting point is the mountain station of the Kreuzjochbahn cable car, more precisely the panorama lake at 1,600 m a.s.l. accessible from Fulpmes. The Schlickeralm also offers a petting zoo and an adventure playground in summer, so that the adventure starts in the best possible way for the little guests. From there the path leads constantly downhill, 1.5 km resp. one hour, to the intermediate station Froneben and the same-named mountain hut (1,306 m a.s.l.).
At the edge of the path through the spruce forest there is a channel into which you can put the wooden disc. This will then roll - with watchfulness - along the path next to you and should not fall to the ground. Can you make it? The wooden disc can be borrowed at the cash desk of the valley station and returned again until 5 pm. Have fun!
