Schlick 2000 Skiing Area - Stubaital

Beside its slopes in all levels of difficulty, the Schlick 2000 Ski Centre provides a high-altitude cross-country ski track and a toboggan run

At the entrance of the Stubaital valley there is the Schlick 2000 Skiing Area, the largest one of the valley despite its manageable and pleasant dimensions. The Kreuzjoch Cable Car at the edge of Fulpmes is comfortably reachable by the Stubai Ski Bus, which runs between Schönberg, Schlick 2000 and Mutterberg. The cable car takes you up to the Kreuzjoch mountain station, where 22 km of well-groomed ski slopes - including a speed track - and 1.5 km ski routes start. New in 2023 is the energy-efficient Galtbergbahn, the first 10-seater cable car in the Stubaital valley.

Schlick 2000 is rich in special corners: Children feel at ease in BIG RON's Kinderland of the Stubai Ski School, for toddlers from 1 year of age there's the Spiel- & Aufwärmstube childcare facility. Snowboarders and freeskier, however, can look forward to the two fun parks: the Stubai Park Schlick 2000 on the Sennjoch Slope and the Free Nature Park along the valley run. In front of the impressive Kalkkögel Mountains, its Free Nature-Halfpipe is the best place to try jumps and tricks.

Schlick 2000 was the first skiing area to introduce the Skiline System, a technique that saves the altitude difference that you overcame in a ski day. Some wonderful freeride routes complete the offer. The SKI plus CITY Pass Innsbruck Stubai is valid here, which includes 13 skiing areas between the Stubai Valley and Innsbruck. Off the slopes, the atmosphere is calmer: There is the snow-sure 3.5 km long Schlickeralm high-altitude cross-country ski track, stretching across winter forests, and due to good thermal currents, paragliders and hang-gliders can be seen on Mt. Kreuzjoch.
