Mt. Zahmer Kaiser in the holiday area Kaiserwinkl transforms into a winter wonderland with 13.5 km ski slopes.

On the northern slopes of the Kaiser Mountains there's the Zahmer Kaiser skiing area. It is particularly suitable for beginners, families and those who would like to enjoy sports on snow, away from the large ski centres. What is worth mentioning is the "Ski-Kinderland" at the Amberg ski lift: a magic carpet, a mogul slope, a tepee and a snow tunnel are waiting for the children.
Most of the 13.5 km of slopes are easy runs, the Schmiedereralm Race Track and the "Freeride Blasenalm", however, are medium difficult. Five lift facilities take you on the snow, among them the new 4-seater chairlift. It takes you also to the 2.7 km long toboggan run Zahmer Kaiser (as an alternative to the 1-hour winter walk). The popular night-time skiing is offered twice a week.
In the Zahmer Kaiser area, however, you can go tobogganing the whole year round, as in summer you can find the two Walchsee Summer Coasters above the Zahmer Kaiser Game Park. The Snow Card Tyrol (more than 90 skiing areas in Tyrol) is valid in the skiing area.
Due to the tightened measures taken on November 3, 2020 to control the coronavirus, the start of the 2020-21 winter season has been postponed to December 24, 2020. Catering and accommodation establishments will be closed until the end of February 2021.
