The Imster Bergbahnen lift facilities take you up to the Alpbachjoch at 2,100 m a.s.l. in the Hoch-Imst skiing area.
With its gently curved slopes the skiing area of the Imster Bergbahnen lift facilities near the town of Imst is a popular destination for families and beginners. Two double chair lifts and the Malbach lift are at your disposal and take you up to the 2,100 m high Alpjoch mountain. The beginners lift Hoch-Imst can be found near the valley station. 9 km of slopes offer fun for any level of difficulty. In 2017 the Hoch-Imst Chairlifts celebrated their 50th anniversary.
The little guests can discover skiing on the beginners slope next to the valley station. They are accompanied by skilled instructors and funny figures such as Albin, the mascot of the lift facilities. Within the Kids Ski Weeks even ski courses free of charge are offered for kids up to 7 years. At the Malbach Lift there's the Hoch-Imst Fun Park with 15 features, a Public, Beginner and Pro Line.
The Untermarkter Alm mountain hut (UAlm) invites to take a rest on the sun terrace. Here the Alpine Coaster Imst starts in winter and summer, with top speeds up to 40 kmph, as well as the toboggan run Untermarkter Alm with its 4 km length. The skiing area is also popular due to its night operation: the downhill run from the UAlm is floodlit twice a week, the toboggan run three times a week. The Snow Card Tyrol (more than 90 skiing areas in Tyrol), the Tyrol Regio Card (reductions for leisure time facilities in Tyrol) and the Glacier Park Card Winter (6 skiing areas around the Pitztal and Kaunertal Glaciers) are valid in this skiing area.
