Kaunertal Glacier - Fendels skiing area

The majestic Kaunertal Glacier and the winter mountain Fendels in the Kaunertal valley became one.

The "Youngest Glacier of Tyrol" allied with the winter mountain Fendels in order to offer even more possibilities on the ski slopes. The ski resort is considered snow-sure from October to May on the Kaunertal Glacier and from December to April in the Fendels skiing area. Furthermore here you'll find family and children friendly prices. The Kaunertal Glacier stands out with its wide glacier slopes. In this skiing area, the Kaunertal Snow Park with its Easy, Medium and Pro Line is waiting for snowboarders and freeskiers. Also the events held in this place are known beyond borders, including the Kaunertal Opening and the Spring Classics.

Night-time skiing and tobogganing, however, are offered in the Fendels skiing area. This manageable area is perfectly suited for families - here you'll also find an adventure playground, the "BIBI Kinderland" and special children's dishes. New in the skiing season 2020/2021 is the Kidspark Fendels for young freestylers. In the last years also the viewing platform "Drei-Länderblick" (View of Three Countries) at the Karlesjoch pass at 3,108 m a.s.l. was inaugurated, providing a fantastic view on the Swiss, Italian and Austrian mountains.

The Kaunertal Glacier - Fendels skiing area is a barrier-free ski resort, awarded with the EDEN-Award. Something special is the "Blue Hour", a tour on the PistenBully-Express which gives people in wheelchairs the opportunity to reach the most beautiful places of the skiing area at the end of the ski day. The Snow Card Tyrol (more than 90 skiing areas in Tyrol), the Tyrol Regio Card (reductions for leisure time facilities in Tyrol), the "Ski6" ski pass (350 km of slopes in 6 skiing areas around the Venet ski region) and the "White 5" ski pass (all 5 glacial skiing areas in Tyrol: Kaunertal, Pitztal, Stubai, Sölden and Hintertux Glaciers) as well as the Allgäu Glacier Card (Allgäu and Tyrol with the Kaunertal and Pitztal Glaciers) are valid in the skiing area.
