It is considered to have the most beautiful cross-country ski slopes and ski tours of the southern Alps - we are talking about Mt. Thurntaler, the local mountain of the Hochpustertal valley on Austrian side which continues in Italy as Upper Val Pusteria. The Hochpustertaler Bergbahnen take you into the Sillian Ski Center, where 22.5 km of ski slopes are waiting for you, including the Kammabfahrt, which overcomes a drop of 1,300 m, representing the longest ski run of the area.
The valley runs stretch to Sillian and to the Villgratental valley: The Hochpustertal Ski School helps you with the right technique in order to enjoy the slopes to the fullest. Famous is also the Yellowsnow Fun Park Hochpustertal, the southernmost Snow Park of Austria. During the school holidays, special two-day or four-day Freestyle and Freeride Camps are held there.
Families can look forwards to the children's areal, the Bobo Kids Park and the ski kindergarten. The child-friendly rates of the Sillian Hochpustertal Ski Center include free skiing for kids up to 6 years if accompanied by an adult, whereas kids between 6 and 18 years get reduced prices of 50%.
