The Obertilliacher Bergbahnen lift facilities take you into the small Golzentipp skiing area in East Tyrol.
The five Obertilliacher Bergbahnen lift facilities - four T-bar lifts and the new 10-seater cable car Golzentippbahn - take you into the Golzentipp skiing area at approx. 2,250 m a.s.l. In the high-altitude skiing area, there are well-groomed slopes with snow guarantee from December to the beginning of April, thanks to modern state-of-the-art snow-making equipment. The small skiing area with 15.5 km of slopes is particularly popular with families and beginners.
This is where fun on the slopes starts right at your doorstep! Hardly are the slopes more easily accessible than in Obertilliach in East Tyrol. Right in the village, there are two ski lifts that are ideal for kids and beginners. Also very popular is the Tilly Kid's Camp of the Obertilliach Ski School with the mascot "Tilly", where kids aged 3 and more can make their first passes on skis. It can be found at the valley station of the Himbeergoll Lift. You'd like to try something else?
The 17.2 km long Dorfloipe cross-country ski track is connected with the famous 60 km long "Grenzlandloipe" (Kartitsch in East Tyrol - pilgrimage site Maria Luggau in Carinthia), whereas the high-altitude trail starts only a few metres away from the mountain station of the lift facilities. By the way - did you know that already Daniel Craig alias James Bond was in the Golzentipp skiing area, on the valley run with his skis on? The Snow Card Tyrol (more than 90 skiing areas in Tyrol), the "SkiHit East Tyrol" ski pass (9 skiing areas in East Tyrol and Carinthia) and the Top Ski Pass Carinthia-East Tyrol (31 skiing areas, 24 in Carinthia and 7 in East Tyrol) are valid here.
