Golzentipp Skiing Area - East Tyrol

The Obertilliacher Bergbahnen lift facilities take you into the small skiing area on the 2,317 m high Golzentipp in East Tyrol.

The high-altitude skiing area on Mt. Golzentipp convinces with 15.5 km of well-groomed slopes with snow guarantee from December to mid-April - also thanks to modern state-of-the-art snow-making equipment - and its manageable size. This is where fun on the slopes starts right at your doorstep: Hardly are the slopes more easily accessible than in Obertilliach in East Tyrol.

Right in the village, there are two ski lifts that are ideal for kids and beginners. In the winter season 2021/22, the new kids area at the Himbeergoll Lift will be added, with waves, obstacles and figures to show how to make a turn. The parents can watch from the sun terrace of the Hotel Scherer.

By the way: Already Daniel Craig alias James Bond was in the Golzentipp Skiing Area, and did the valley run with his skis on for the movie "Spectre"! Are you looking for some variety? The 17.2 km long village cross-country ski track is connected with the famous 60 km long Grenzlandloipe cross-border track (Kartitsch in East Tyrol - pilgrimage site Maria Luggau in Carinthia), whereas the high-altitude trail starts only a few metres away from the Golzentipp mountain station.
