The high-altitude skiing area on Mt. Golzentipp convinces with 12 km of well-groomed slopes with snow guarantee - also thanks to modern state-of-the-art snow-making equipment -, 3 km of ski routes and its manageable size. This is where fun starts right at your doorstep: Hardly are the ski slopes more easily accessible than in Obertilliach, the listed mountain village. The new 10-seater gondola starts directly in the village. Already Daniel Craig alias James Bond was in the Golzentipp Skiing Area and did the valley run with his skis on for the movie "Spectre"!
Right in the village you can find two ski lifts that are ideal for children and beginners. New is the kids area at the Himbeergoll Lift, with waves, obstacles and figures to show how to make a turn. The parents can watch from the sun terrace of the Hotel Scherer.
Are you looking for some variety? Obertilliach is also known among cross-country skiers, ski tourers and tobogganists. The village cross-country ski track is connected with the 60 km long Grenzlandloipe (Kartitsch in East Tyrol - Maria Luggau in Carinthia). Furthermore, right in the skiing area there are the high-altitude trail which starts only a few metres away from the Golzentipp mountain station, and the 7 km long toboggan run from the Conny Mountain Hut to the valley.
