The four buildings of Ehrenberg with its Knights’ Adventure Museum and the suspension bridge await you in the east of Reutte

The majestic Ehrenberg Castle Ensemble (Burgenwelt Ehrenberg) soars in the east of Reutte. It consists of 4 different buildings: the Klause Fortress, the ruin of Ehrenberg Castle, the Schlosskopf Fortress, and the Claudia Fortress. In former times, everyone had to come by this place due to the strategic position along one of the most important trade routes between north and south. Today, the entire facility can be visited following a well signposted path network.
History to touch is offered in the Knights' Adventure Museum "Dem Ritter auf der Spur" (On the Knights Trail). In 14 representative rooms, 14 burdens of knighthood and a knight's life in general are illustrated. Alchimists, experiments, crusades and plague... experience it firsthand and participate actively. The little visitors are accompanied by Rüdiger, the Knight.
However, for some years now also the world's second longest swing pedestrian bridge, the "highline179", is part of the ensemble. The 406 metres long bridge connects Ehrenberg Castle and the Claudia Fortress, and is surpassed only by the 494 metres long Europe Bridge in Zermatt in Switzerland. The new Ehrenberg Liner, an inclined elevator for barrier-free access, takes you quickly to the above mentioned "highline179".
