The skiing area of the Tannheimer Bergbahnen lift facilities offers snow and fun with its Ice Age Children’s Area.
The skiing area of the Tannheimer Bergbahnen lift facilities is located on the eponymous Neunerköpfle, a 1,862 m high mountain in the Allgäu Alps, rising southeast of the village of Tannheim. The 11.5 km of ski slopes are easy or medium difficult, only part of the valley run is classified as difficult (black slope).
Children will enjoy the "Ice Age-Kinderland" (Ice Age Children's Area), a snow and adventure park for children, including a surface of 10,000 sqm as well as attractions like snow tubing, waves and a snow carousel. All over the park you have the possibility to meet the stars of the movie "Ice Age" such as Manny the woolly mammoth, Sid the giant ground sloth and Diego the smilodon. And while the children enjoy the park, adults can sow their wild oats on the perfectly groomed slopes.
However, despite of the great experiences on skis, you should not forget to stop for a bite to eat or Après Ski at the refuges, e.g. at the Hubertushütte or Gundhütte ski huts, which guarantee off-piste fun! The Neunerköpfle is one of the five skiing areas of the Tannheimer Valley - the Snow Card Tyrol (more than 90 skiing areas in Tyrol), the Tyrol Regio Card (reductions for leisure time facilities in Tyrol), the Allgäu Glacier Card (Allgäu and Tyrol with the Kaunertal and Pitztal Glaciers), the Allgäu Tyrol Ski Card (19 skiing areas in Tyrol and the Allgäu) and the Super Snow Card (8 skiing areas in Tyrol, the Allgäu and the Kleinwalsertal valley) are valid here.
