Berwang is a picturesque mountain village with a small but excellent skiing area of manageable size.

At an altitude of 1,336 m a.s.l. above the villages of Berwang, Bichlbach, Heiterwang and Rinnen there is the idyllic Berwang-Bichlbach Ski Arena, which belongs to the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena Ski Region. It was created by the fusion with the Bichlbach Thanellerkar Lifts in 2016.
The 36 km of ski slopes - half of them are considered easy - are particularly popular with families, and lead partly until the front door. Specially liked in the Berwang-Bichlbach Ski Arena is nighttime skiing on the Egghof Sun Jet slope and tobogganing at night on the Berwang toboggan run. At the Thanellerkaft Lift, however, there's the Obstacle Funpark for the boarders.
You need a helping hand when doing your first steps on skis or turning on the snow? The Berwang Ski School has been awarded four times in succession with the Quality Award of the Tyrolean ski instructor association. If you would like to enjoy the winter off the slopes, the surroundings offer also 20 km of cross-country ski tracks, an ice-skating ground and numerous winter walking trails.
