The largest glacial skiing area of Austria has received the stamp of quality for ski runs awarded by the State of Tyrol.
The Stubai Glacier is a skiing area of superlatives which reaches up to 3,210 m a.s.l. 26 lift facilities take you to 64 km of perfectly groomed slopes - snow sure from October to June - including the 10 km long valley run "Wilde Grube". At the Eisgrat mountain station at 3,000 m a.s.l. there's the Restaurant Schaufelspitz, the highest located gourmet restaurant of the Alps and - close by - the Stubai Ice Cave, offering a fascinating insight into the world of ice in summer and winter alike.
Families are welcome - the ADAC ski guide has declared the Stubai Glacier for four times already "TOP child- and family-friendly skiing area in the Alps", not only due to the fact that kids under 10, accompanied by an adult, ski for free and for its BIG Family Fun Slope and BIG Family Ski-Camp. Snowboarders will amuse themselves in the world-famous Snowpark DC Stubai Zoo. For some years now, also the FIS Freeski World Cup Stubai has taken place here.
The Snow Card Tyrol (more than 90 skiing areas in Tyrol), the Freizeitticket Tyrol (32 skiing areas and other leisure time facilities in Tyrol) and the SKI plus CITY Pass (13 skiing areas around Innsbruck and the Stubaital valley, formerly known as Olympia SkiWorld Innsbruck), as well as the "White 5" ski pass (all 5 glacial skiing areas in Tyrol: Kaunertal, Pitztal, Stubai, Sölden and Hintertux Glaciers) and the Alps Plus Glacier Card (7 areas and 1 glacier between Bavaria and the Stubaital valley) are valid on the slopes of the Stubai Glacier. Have fun!
