The in 2013 erected adventure playground with its 10 stations is one of the biggest playgrounds of Tyrol.
Directly adjacent to the adventure pool and the tennis court of Oetz in the beautiful Oetztal valley, Widi’s Kids Park Oetz is located since summer 2013, one of the biggest (and free) playgrounds of Tyrol. Mostly with Robinia wood a more than 5,000 sqm large paradise for kids has been created here. Also the exceptional design of the single play equipment distinguishes the playground from others. And why is it called Widi? Widi, a cute mountain sheep, is the mascot of the region.
Ten stations playfully thematise the topic “On the trails of the miners”, because mining has influenced the entire Oetztal valley for centuries. A hammer and pick swing, a climbing maze, a gold balance seesaw and a gold mining spot can be found here. Across the miners’ bridge, however, the older discoverers come to the high tunnel slide. Also a balance bar, a cable car and a swinging rope just wait to be discovered. A journey into the past and a real adventure playground!
Clearly separated zones for toddlers and older kids offer play equipment for all ages. Finally a cosy fireplace invites to take a rest and the adjacent café of the swimming pool offers refreshments. By the way, the entire area of the Kids Park Oetz is suitable for prams!
