The Area 47 - with its Water, Wake, Climbing, MTB and Outdoor Area - is considered the largest outdoor leisure park of Austria
Image gallery: Area 47 Oetztal
Amazing 66,000 sqm large is the areal of the Area 47 at the entrance of the Oetztal valley, strictly speaking in Oetztal-Bahnhof, a village that belongs to Haiming. The area consists of different parts: Outdoor Area, Climbing Area, Water Area, Wake Area, MTB Area, Living Area, Event Area and Food Area. However, let's take a closer look!
In the Outdoor Area you can try canyoning, rafting and caving. The Climbing Area offers one of the most impressive climbing facilities all over Europe. Experts such as Mike Gabl and his team played an active part in planning this facility, offering the highest artificial climbing wall of Austria, a boulder cave and a deep water soloing bouldering wall. Furthermore you can experience climbing in the high-rope course in about 27 m height. New, however, is Bungee Jumping and the Valley-Swing. Now we proceed to the Water Area which offers bathing pleasure on 20,000 sqm at the bathing lake, including a water-slide park, Blobbing, Cannonball, and its own Wake Area.
The Freeride Area is the cross-field for professionals and newcomers - a paradise for mountain bike with its own indoor bike park. The offers are completed by events at the River Haus Bar and the Open-Air Party Area (both part of the Event Area), the Food Area and the Living Area with its rooms, lodges and teepees. Have fun exploring a real adventure land by its own!
