Hochfügen Ski Region - Zillertal

Deep powder slopes and wide pistes: the Hochfügen-Hochzillertal Ski Region in the Zillertal

The extensive Hochfügen-Hochzillertal Ski Region connects the skiing areas of Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach and Hochfügen. You can reach it from Kaltenbach via the Hochzillertal Cable Car on the edge of the village or from the hotel village of Hochfügen with the Zillertal Shuttle, which connects to the Wedel Express. The ski region is among the most snow-sure areas in the Alps and is considered one of the best freeride areas in Europe, famous for its perfect powder snow.

Ambitious skiers will find their terrain here, as will leisurely skiers, families with children, freeskiers, and snowboarders. The over 90 kilometres of pistes include the valley run to Aschau im Zillertal and the snow-covered and floodlit Kaltenbach valley run, named after the former ski racer Stephan Eberharter. The Hochfügen-Hochzillertal Ski Region also includes the race track at the Panorama Lift for training and ski races, a spacious beginner's area, and the Funny Slope. The "Zwergerl Club" snow kindergarten awaits younger guests at the mountain station.

Boarders are drawn to the Betterpark Hochzillertal at the Snow Express 8-seater chairlift. The park offers areas for all skill levels and has its own lift. On selected evenings, the ski show "Fire meets Snow" takes place, and every Friday there's a ski touring evening on the floodlit pistes 11, 13, and 14. A shuttle bus connects the ski region with the Spieljochbahn Skiing Area in Fügen. The Zillertal Super Ski Pass is valid in the Hochfügen-Hochzillertal Ski Region, as it is in all Zillertal ski resorts: Spieljochbahn, Zillertal Arena, Mayrhofen, and in the Zillertal 3000 Ski & Glacier World.
