Steinplatte skiing area - Pillersee Tal

The Steinplatte skiing area in Waidring, located in the Kitzbühel Alps, is one of three ski regions in the beautiful Pillersee Valley.

In the border triangle Tyrol - Salzburg - Bavaria a skiing area is located, which is popular for its wide carving slopes and sunny hillsides: the Steinplatte skiing area. In Waidring the valley station of the 15-seater gondola is located, but the Steinplatte is also reachable from Bavaria, via the Winkelmoosalm mountain pasture (Reit im Winkl). Therefore, with a combined ski pass the Austrian Steinplatte skiing area as well as the German Winkelmoosalm skiing area can be used.

The 1.5 km long Steinplatte Snow Park is very popular, combining the best elements of boardercross and snow park for plenty of winter fun. A beginners line as well as a medium and advanced area are available. Children, however, can look forward to the "Triassi Kinderland" on the ski school area and the "Hausberg Arena", both located in the centre of Waidring. The offer is completed by the Triassic Fun Slope with its snow elements at the Steinplatte Snow Park.

Numerous mountain huts in the skiing area provide sustenance with Tyrolean and Bavarian delicacies. To these belong among others the Kammerkör mountain inn as well as the Stallenalm and Möseralm mountain huts. Bon appétit! At the valley station in Waidring the Après Ski bar "Zardini's Schindldorf" in Tyrolean style can be found. By the way: The Steinplatte is one of the 8 skiing areas within the 3-Country Leisure Arena (formerly known as Schneewinkel), and also the Snow Card Tyrol (more than 90 skiing areas in Tyrol), the Salzburg Super Ski Card (23 ski regions) and the SuperSkiCard (22 ski regions, 2,750 km of slopes) are valid.
