The Berwang-Bichlbach-Rinnen-Heiterwang skiing area belongs to the ski region Tiroler Zugspitz Arena.
Berwang is a picturesque mountain village with a small but excellent skiing area of manageable size, in which particularly families with children feel at ease. At an altitude of 1,336 m a.s.l. you can perfectly relax and recharge your batteries, surrounded by a great winter landscape. The skiing area connects the villages of Bichlbach, Heiterwang, Berwang and Rinnen - partly the slopes come down at your doorstep and for this reason you can fully enjoy skiing.
12 lift facilities take you onto 36 km of well-groomed slopes. Popular are above all nighttime-skiing and the illuminated toboggan run at the Egghof Sunjet, whereas snowboarders enjoy the Obstacle Funpark at the Thanellerkar lift facility. You need a helping hand when doing your first steps on skis? The Berwang Ski School has been awarded four times in succession with the Quality Award of the Tyrolean ski instructor association and offers a special kids’ ski school.
If you would like to enjoy the winter off the slopes, there are also 20 km of cross-country ski tracks, an ice-skating ground or numerous winter walking trails. Otherwise you could do a romantic horse-drawn sledge ride. The Skiarena Berwang, however, is one of the 9 skiing areas of the ski region Tiroler Zugspitz Arena - 213 km of ski slopes are waiting for you in the surroundings of Mt. Zugspitze, the northernmost glacier of the Alps.
