Hochoetz Ski Region - Oetztal

Hochoetz awaits with 41 km of varied slopes between 814 and 2,272 metres above sea level. The slopes extend primarily across north-facing hillsides below the Acherkogel mountain. Together with Kühtai, the Hochoetz-Kühtai Ski Region offers a total of 90 km of slopes, 27 lifts and guaranteed snow. A free ski bus shuttles between the two areas every half hour. Alternatively, you can explore all six Oetztal ski areas, including the Sölden Glaciers, with the Oetztal Super Ski Pass.

You can reach Hochoetz from two villages: Oetz in the Oetztal valley and Ochsengarten, a district of Haiming on the road to the Kühtai Pass. Among the highlights is the descent from Mt. Brunnenkopf, where you can almost touch the snow-covered peaks of the Stubai Alps. Relatively new is the black slope number 14, which connects the Balbach area with Ochsengarten. With an average of 71 sunny days per season - the Austrian average is 54 - Hochoetz ranks among the top 10 sunniest ski resorts in the country. After dark, night skiing in Ochsengarten beckons.

Seven ski huts invite you in for a cosy break. In Hochoetz, children can freely practise their first turns in the snow, supported by the ski instructors of the local ski schools. Mascot WIDI, a sheep, accompanies young guests throughout the year in the Oetztal valley. In addition to a kindergarten, a fun park, a snow village and child-friendly slopes, there is also a child-oriented restaurant, the Hochoetz Panorama Restaurant, at the WIDIversum Hochoetz.
