Imster Bergbahnen Skiing Area

The motto of the Imster Bergbahnen ski area above Imst is activity, relaxation and experiencing nature

Perfectly groomed slopes, two toboggan runs and the winter highlight, the Alpine Coaster Imst, ensure fun and action for the whole family: The Imster Bergbahnen Skiing Area is known as Hoch-Imst. The two 10-person panoramic gondolas take skiers, tobogganers and snowboarders up the mountain quickly, safely and with barrier-free access. From the valley station, you can travel either to the middle station, the starting point for the toboggan runs, or continue up to the Alpjoch top station at an altitude of 2,100 metres.

Nine kilometres of wonderful downhill runs, which are also very popular with families, are waiting for you. At the valley station, there is a practice area for beginners and those returning to the sport, while experienced winter sports enthusiasts can look forward to the long run from the top station. Looking for an adrenaline rush? The "Pratz Bäume" piste, with a gradient of up to 60%, is the most demanding challenge in the ski area. Those who prefer to head down the valley on two runners can have fun on the two natural toboggan runs.

The start of the Untermarkter Alm toboggan run is at the middle station and can also be reached as part of a winter hike. From there, it's a four-kilometre descent. About a 40-minute walk further on, near the Latschenhütte mountain hut, the Obermarkter Alm toboggan run winds its way down the mountain for a full six kilometres. The third toboggan run is also open in summer: the Alpine Coaster Imst, the longest alpine roller coaster in the world. Afterwards, you can relax and enjoy local delicacies in the huts and restaurants in Hoch-Imst.
