A breath-taking panoramic view and a familiar atmosphere await you in the beautiful St. Jakob in Defereggen skiing area.
For the panoramic view alone, this skiing area in the Defereggental valley is worth to be visited. At 2,525 m a.s.l. you can enjoy a view on more than 60 mountains of 3,000 m, and of course on the majestic Grossglockner, the King of the Eastern Alps. At the sunny slopes of the Brunnalm you will immediately feel at home: 23.5 km of ski slopes, a children's area and the Brunnalm Snow Park are waiting for you. Moreover this skiing area has been awarded with the Tyrolean seal of quality for ski slopes and was named leading ski resort with up to 20 km of slopes by skiresort.de in 2019.
St. Jakob in Defereggen is considered to be THE family skiing area in East Tyrol, as particular attention is set on children. There are various attractions like a ski kindergarten, a magic carpet as well as child-friendly ski slopes. The Brunnalm Snow Park, however, in the course of the time has become a real hotspot for snowboarders. Located below the 3-seater chairlift Mooserberg, it offers a freestyle area as well as many obstacles.
A total of 7 lift facilities - among them the 6-seater chairlift Weissspitzbahn and the Brunnalm gondola - are available. And after a ski day, in the Brunnalm ski hut e.g. you can enjoy a great time with your beloved ones and taste local dishes. In the ski center the Snow Card Tyrol (more than 90 skiing areas in Tyrol), the "SkiHit East Tyrol" ski pass (9 skiing areas in East Tyrol and Carinthia) and the Top Ski Pass Carinthia-East Tyrol (31 skiing areas, 24 in Carinthia and 7 in East Tyrol) are valid.
