Füssener Jöchle Skiing Area - Tannheimer Tal

High above Grän: skiing with panoramic views as far as Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria

Take the Füssener Jöchle Gondola Lift, one of the five lifts of the Sonnenbergbahnen Grän, and glide effortlessly from the village up to 1,823 metres. At the top, on the Jochalpe, nine kilometres of easy and intermediate slopes await, with breathtaking panoramic views across the Tannheimer Valley and into the Allgäu. In clear weather, the view even extends to Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria. The longest descent is the intermediate family run down to the village of Grän.

For your first turns, there's the Märchenwiese Lift (Fairytale Meadow Lift) down in the valley, where Snow White, Mother Hulda, and other fairytale characters keep children company. Thanks to snowmaking facilities, skiing fun is guaranteed until April. Fancy a stop at the chalet? The rustic ambience of the Sonnenalm mountain restaurant and the "s'Um und Auf" - a combination of restaurant, après-ski hut, and bar - invite you to take a relaxing break between runs.

Did you know? The Grän lift company has existed since 1967. The first drag lift opened in the same year. Three years later, the double chairlift followed, which, at 2,630 metres, was the longest in Europe without a middle station at the time. The Füssener Jöchle Skiing Area is a true classic! It's part of the Ski Tannheimer Tal network, which, in the 2024/25 season, will also give you access to the skiing areas Neunerköpfle and Schattwald-Zöblen on Mt. Wannenjoch and Mt. Rohnenspitze.
