TUX Worlds

The TUX Worlds in the Tux Valley and on the Hintertux Glacier were set up in the magnificent landscape between the perpetual ice of the Hintertux Glacier and the Tuxbach stream further down. They include the Natural World, Animal World, Water World, Plant World and Gorge World, and therefore also offer a fair amount of variety. The mascot is the glacier flea Luis.

And that's where the adventure begins: at Luis' Glacier Flea Park on the Hintertux Glacier, where you can also have a snowball fight in summer. The TUX Worlds (TUX-Welten) then lead you to Luis' Glacier Flea and Ball Safari a little further down, at the Sommerberg Mountain Hut at about 2,000 m a.s.l. The themed trail is about 2 km long and suitable for prams.

The other stops are at the intermediate station of the Finkenberg Cable Car (Nature World, approx. 4.8 km), near the Tux Mill (Animal World, approx. 3 km), near the Mehlerhaus in Madseit (Plant World), at the valley station (Water World, approx. 2.8 km) and finally in Finkenberg, where the circular hike to the Glocke Nature Oasis starts at the Tuxbach Gorge (Gorge World).

The Hintertux Glacier Cable Cars, which take you to the Luis' Glacier Flea Park and the Ball Safari at the Sommerberg Mountain Hut, operate all year round. The Finkenberg Cable Car, however, is open from early June to the end of October. The theme trails themselves are accessible from mid-May resp. early June to October, Luis' Glacier Flea Park only from July to September. The Animal World, Water World, and Gorge World can be reached by foot.
