Lake Filzalmsee Hochbrixen

Only a short walk from the mountain station Hochbrixen, there is the idyllic Filzalmsee lake (1,300 m asl).

Lake Filzalmsee, located at the Wilder Kaiser mountain chain in the Kitzbühel Alps, is particularly popular on hot summer days. It can comfortably be reached by the Hochbrixen Cable Car and a 5-minutes’ short walk. Not only the natural landscape in the area of Lake Filzalmsee is impressive. There are also lots of attractions both for adults and children, which make a visit really exciting.

Close to the freely accessible area there is a biotope, providing an insight into the underwater world in the pond. Furthermore there is a colossal hand movable via ropes, a huge eye turning the world upside down, as well as a water giant rising from the lake. Further attractions for adults and children are a mud basin, a Kneipp basin, the foot massage, a water games area, huts, an “Insight Box”, a jumbo xylophone, a small and huge giants path and much more.

Lake Filzalmsee is also a perfect starting point for hikes in the surroundings. From this place you can comfortably reach other leisure parks in the beautiful Wilder Kaiser region, such as the “Witch’s Water Hochsöll” and “Ellmi’s Magic World”.
