In June 2023, YOUR DOME Tirol was opened, a 360 degrees experience dome with magical worlds of images and sounds that fascinate, inspire and let you experience special moments in a wide variety of shows. Until 2021, you could reach for the stars in the Planetarium Schwaz: In contrast to an observatory, the stars were not seen through a telescope, but the sky and the universe were artificially created. Then the conversions began.
Today, YOUR DOME Tyrol invites you to films, shows and concerts that get under your skin. The idea of the planetarium was to be further developed and adapted to offer an even wider range of presentation possibilities. This has been successful and is now accessible: In contrast to a normal cinema, YOUR DOME Tyrol has a dome screen that is particularly impressive from the loungers.
To be precise, it is an aluminium screen with 109 white panels for 360 degrees presentations that allow an immersion into other worlds - worlds of sound and images such as "Habitat Earth", "Aurora" or "A Cosmic Journey". Thanks to the newly installed stage, the hall can be quickly transformed into a space for live acts and presentations. Responsible for the project is Axel Krieger Edutainment, which implemented it with two technology companies operating throughout Europe. By the way: YOUR DOME Tyrol is only 30 m from the famous Schwaz Silver Mine.

CURRENT PARKING CHANGE: Please use the first car park on the right on the Bergwerksstrasse road. The main car park is closed due to construction work at the Schwaz Silver Mine. Walking time to YOUR DOME Tirol: approx. 5 minutes.
Shows for groups and for school classes (1 to 50 persons resp. students outside the normal screenings and opening hours) as well as Rent your Show (exclusive show for up to 20 or 45 persons) and Rent your Dome (exclusive show for up to 45 persons) are offered on request.
YOUR DOME Tyrol stays open all year round. The shows take place at different hours: Reception, coffee bar and shop open 30 minutes before the beginning of the first show.
