In Tyrol, you can experience Tyrolean beer culture with all your senses both in Tarrenz in the Gurgltal valley and in Zell am Ziller, where the BrauKunstHaus is located. Tyrol's oldest private brewery can look back on 520 years of Zillertal valley beer, for which it was honoured as a traditional Tyrolean company in 2021.
The BrauKunstHaus offers you an experience that includes a multimedia tour on 5,000 sqm of exhibition space, but also a tasting of the different beers and a shop. The information provided in areas such as "The Treasures of Nature" and "The Filling Station" concerns the brewing process, bottling, traditions and the beer varieties themselves.
Finally, you can also taste and purchase the barley juice. Among them are varieties like the "Schwarzes Premium Klasse", special beers like the "Gauder Steinbock Naturtrüb" and beer brandies like the "Märzen Bier Zigarrenbrand", matured for two years in oak barrels and with a hint of vanilla. The BrauKunstHaus is located in the Bräuweg path on the outskirts of the village.
