Lake Haldensee with its 77 hectares is located close to the homonymous locality of Haldensee in the Tannheimer valley.
At Grän and Nesselwängle in the Tannheimer valley, there is Lake Haldensee, characterised by excellent water quality. The lake is fed by the Nesselwängler Ache river and the Berger Ache river represents its runoff. Lake Haldensee offers various possibilities to spend one's leisure time actively: it is a perfect starting point for hikes and bicycle tours in the surroundings and of course a perfect resting place after a hike or MTB tour. Or would you like to explore the wonderful Tannheimer valley riding on a horseback?
At the lakeside there is the swimming area "Wasserwelt Haldensee" in the community of Grän. The water of an area of 500 sqm can be heated up thanks to a solar collector. Beside swimming and splashing around, canoeing is a popular activity in the lake. And favouring wind conditions provide perfect conditions for windsurfers and sailors.
In winter the lake is an attraction both for adults and children, as you can ice skate or play curling on the surface in case the lake is frozen.
