The Water World Haldensee on the shore of Lake Haldensee is an open-air swimming pool in the middle of nature. The facility belongs to the Haldensee Nature Camping and brings a beach atmosphere to the Tannheimer Valley from June to September. With the solar system that heats the 500 sqm water surface to pleasant temperatures, it shows itself to be environmentally friendly - because here, at more than 1,000 m a.s.l., it is still sometimes quite fresh, even in high summer.
In addition to its idyllic location, the Water World - Wasserwelt Haldensee, in German - offers a toddlers' pool, a non-swimmers' area with a massage bubble and a waterfall, a sports pool and a 50-metre-long water slide. On the Haldensee itself, windsurfers, sailors, rowers and canoeists romp about, and on the lakeshore you can see horse riders, Nordic Walkers and cyclists - on the Tannheimer Valley Cycle Route you pass directly by the lake, an ideal place for a break.
For a bit of variety, there is also a rowing boat, pedal boat and surfboard rental service at the Water World Haldensee before it closes its doors in autumn and the Haldensee is then covered with a thick layer of ice in winter. But summer is for swimming...
