The Lanser See at 980 m a.s.l. is located in Lans and is easily accessible via public transport from Innsbruck. It is fed by ground water as well as the neighbouring water lily lake, the Lanser Moor which is under natural protection. In summer, with water temperatures of 25 degrees C, Lake Lans represents a popular destination for those who love swimming and spashing aroud.
A playground with water slides, a magic island in the middle of the lake and a toddlers' area make a summer day at the Bathing Lake Lans even more pleasant, moreover you can rent a pedal boat. A beach volley and soccer field and facilities for playing frisbee and badminton complete the offer, whereas the nudist area is a special highlight in a separated quiet area.
The restaurant with panoramic view on the shores of the Bathing Lake Lans is called Koi Bar. By the way: The lake, today privately owned, changed hands during a wedding. Henry II, Holy Roman Emperor, paid his wedding celebrations with Beatrice of Savoy by giving the lake to the Wilten Monastery. In winter, however, the lake is completely frozen and you can enjoy ice skating.
