Lake Krummsee at Kramsach is one of the warmest lakes for bathing in Tyrol.
Lake Krummsee is one of the lakes in the surroundings of Kramsach, belonging to the "Reintaler Seenplatte", defining an area that is rich in lakes. Like Lake Reintaler, it can be found in a little side valley. In the south of Lake Krummsee, there is Lake Buchsee, in the west Lake Frauensee and above, in a rather hidden position, Lake Berglsteiner.
Lake Krummsee is fed by a run-off of Lake Reintaler. With a length of 700 m and a width of 100 m, Lake Krummsee is a popular lake for bathing, boasting a depth of approximately 2.5 metres. As the waters reach a temperature of 25 degrees C, it is considered to be one of the warmest lakes for bathing in Tyrol. Its crystal clear waters are perfect to make a jump into, while the lawns at the lakeside are ideal terrain for relaxing. A treat for your palate is the restaurant, while facilities such as a diving platform, fitting rooms and toilets complete the offer in summertime. What is also recommendable is to rent a paddling boat, another way to experience the surroundings...
As the lake is located at the foot of the Rofan mountains, it is also an ideal place for a halt when you go walking, such as when you scale the 2,300 m high summits of the Rofan mountains. Also cyclists love to stop at Lake Krummsee, as a jump into its refreshing waters after a cycling tour is a more than welcome experience.
