This pool called is made up of natural materials only and can be found in Vorderhornbach in the Lechtal valley.
In 2010 the nature adventure pool Lechtal on the areal of the former swimming pool of Vorderhornbach was inaugurated. It is a natural adventure pool, as it has only been built with natural construction materials. Water in the pool is only purified by natural filters and plants, not by chemicals. The facility comprises a huge pond for bathing and lawns for sun-bathing as well as a natural diving platform, a river for kids and a liana. The basin is accessible by stairs, ladders or a gentle ramp, moreover there is a disability-friendly access.
A beach volley field, a soccer field as well as a children’s playground complete the offer on the 1,000 sqm large area. What is also an advantage is its location along the Lechtal cycle track, which enables you to come by bicycle, or to stop at the facility and have a snack in the nearby café bistro “Badino”. Tasty snacks and refreshing drinks as well as warm meals are served on the sun terrace.
And how does the nature adventure pool work? The bathing pond is devided into a swimming and a self-purificating zone. The self-regulating process is supported by a combined filter and pumping system. In winter, however, the pond transforms into an ice skating ground that is illuminated, beside there is a cross-country ski run. Hot beverages such as mulled wine are available in winter. A very special programme for cold winter evenings!
