Winter hike to the lakes of Seefeld

This approx. 14 km long hike around the Brunschkopf hill leads us to several lakes in the surroundings of Seefeld.

Starting at Lake Wildsee in Seefeld in Tirol (golf course) we turn into the Leutasch road (L14) which proceeds past the Sportalm (Nordic Ski Centre) to the indoor tennis centre, where the winter path no. 2 starts. This path proceeds through the Kirchwald forest across the Möserer Mähder meadows to Lake Mösern. At this idyllic spot the "Seestubn" tavern invites us to take a cosy rest and enjoy our lunch. Afterwards we continue along path no. 2 towards Lake Lottensee. First we enjoy a beautiful view across the Inntal valley, then the path turns to the right towards north.

Past the snow-covered Lake Lottensee and the Lottenseehütte mountain hut (1,270 m asl) we carry on along a forest path and soon we reach Lake Wildmoos, which is also frozen up and hides beneath a thick blanket of snow. Our path no. 2 leads us to the popular Wildmoosalm mountain hut (1,338 m a.s.l.) where the cross country ski tracks are crossing. From here several paths proceed back to Seefeld, we decide to take the easiest route. Our beautiful round trip ends in the village centre of Seefeld.
