Near Going am Wilden Kaiser and St. Johann in Tirol, two nature trails inform you about the renaturated moor landscape. On the south side of the majestic Kaiser Mountains hiking tours can be made, which show the rare flora and fauna of this specific biotope.
The first one, the "Moor & more Rocky Path" is designed for children from 5 years of age and includes caves, stone hills and something to climb. In addition, there's the "Moor & more Törfchen Trail", a circular path well-suited for kids and for prams, which follows the elf called Törfchen and her friends. In the mountain moors, like the Hüttlmoos, Windwehenmoos, and Steinbichlwald moor - all relics of the last Ice Age - carnivorous plants and many kinds of dragonflies can be found. Information panels tell about the characteristics of this landscape.
Especially in early summer, "Moor & more" fascinates with the blooming cotton grasses and the red sandstone. The project is co-financed by resources obtained from so-called ERDF funding (European Regional Development Fund).
