One of the longest summer toboggan runs of Tyrol is located in Biberwier, at the intermediate station of the Marienberg Chairlift. The ascent is idyllic, with wonderful panoramic views on the surrounding mountains. The descent is faster: Because instead of choosing again the chairlift, you can take the Summer Coaster for the descent.
The operation of the slides on rails is simple: Gear lever forward means accelerating, tightening again means braking. So the vehicle is under control during the entire journey.
The summer toboggan run Biberwier reaches a maximum speed of 20 kmph and overcomes 40 curves, a jump and a tunnel on a 15% gradient. From 1,180 m a.s.l. you descend to almost 1,000 m a.s.l. to the valley station in Biberwier. Children under the age of 8 may only drive accompanied by a supervisor. Furthermore, the 4 km long scooter run to the valley station with fun sports equipment is possible: It includes Monster Scooters and Mountain Carts.
