Description

For anyone wanting to run trail runs in Tyrol, the Glacier Trail Run in Gurgl is unmissable. It leads into the stunning glacier world of the upper Ötztal valley, reaching an altitude of up to 3,000 metres. However, the long Glacier Trail 62K route, covering 61.1 kilometres with an elevation gain of 3,600 metres, is not for beginners but demands considerable stamina and technical skill.

The 42K marathon distance is also very demanding. However, there are also two shorter options: the Glacier Trails 26K and 14K.

Children can also get a taste of glacier air at the Widi Trail Run (four different distances between 200 and 1,500 metres). All these runs take place on Saturday and start in Obergurgl village centre. On the eve of the event, there is also the Top Mountain Run, which is 6.3 kilometres long.
