Return of the cattle Cattle drive in Reith im Alpbachtal

On two dates, the festively decorated cows make their way from the mountain pastures around Reith im Alpbachtal down into the valley. Around midday, the cattle parade through the village to their home stables.

At the crafts market, woodcarvers, basket weavers, schnapps distillers and glass engravers show their skills from around 10 am. You can also try some homemade fruit schnapps. Various music groups, such as alphorn players and traditional whip-crackers ('Goaslschnalzer'), entertain the visitors. The large farmers' and gourmet market has plenty of local food and drink to enjoy. Around 12 noon, the cattle parade through the village to their home stables.
