Motorway permit sticker - Vignette

Motorway permit stickers are called “Vignette” or “Pickerl” in Austria.

All Austrian motorways and clearways, including a total of about 2,000 km, are subject to road taxes. Motorway permit stickers, in Austria called "Vignette" or "Pickerl", are conspicuously affixed inside on the windscreen. The motorway permit sticker is secured by a two-dimensional hologram.

The stickers are available for a period of ten days, two months or the whole year at most filling stations. Every year at the end of November the date and colour (sky blue in 2020, valid from Dec 1, 2019) of the "Vignette" changes. New is the "Digitale Vignette".

Car tariffs 2020:

  • 10 days: 9.40 Euros
  • 2 months: 27.40 Euros
  • 1 year: 91.10 Euros
