Tannheimer Cycling Marathon
Info
Description
The Tannheimer Tal Cycling Marathon is designed for ambitious professional road cyclists as well as for families with children who want to have fun and test their limits. A total of four routes are available.
The most demanding and popular route of the Cycling Marathon covers 214 kilometres and 3,500 metres of elevation gain, extending into the Allgäu region on the German side. Considerably shorter is the route through the Lechtal valley, which is 138 kilometres long with 870 metres of elevation gain. Next is a 103-kilometre route with 760 metres of elevation gain. This route also leads into the charming Lechtal valley, but the turning point is already at Elmen. For all beginners aged 12 and above, the shortest 66-kilometre loop through the Tannheimer Tal valley, with 600 metres of elevation gain, is an ideal option.
Participants can prepare for the Cycling Marathon during the Road Cycling Weeks leading up to the event. These include joint rides with professional road cyclists.
