Description

The new winter season kicks off with World Cup Skiing in Sölden: The greatest female and male Alpine ski racers in the world are back on Rettenbach Glacier for a weekend of thrill and some serious racing action.

The greatest female and male Alpine ski racers in the world return to Sölden for a weekend of thrill! The Sölden Ski World Cup happens to be the first races of the season and is notorious for its epic early season snow. The 2024-2025 FIS World Cup Season kicks off in Sölden on October 26 and 27, 2024 with a women’s and men’s giant slalom. The first event for the ladies this season takes place on Saturday. The fastest male ski racers in the world will compete against the mountain, the clock and themselves on Sunday. Rettenbach Glacier high above Sölden—with one of the steepest pitches on the tour—is one of the select few on the World Cup circuit to hold both the ladies’ and men’s events.
