Not all strudel is created equal: whether filled with classic apple, curd cheese (quark), or savoury sauerkraut, this delicious pastry is prepared in Tyrol in numerous variations, depending on the region and season. For this reason alone, it deserves its own event. At the Seefeld Strudel Festival, which has been held for over 17 years, the pedestrian zone transforms for two days into a strudel mile with a diverse supporting programme.

Local chefs and innkeepers serve various sweet and savoury strudel variations at their stalls around the village square. More refined creations with fish or pulled pork, as well as savoury vegetarian strudels, are also available. Of course, they can also be taken home and enjoyed there. Local music groups ensure a festive atmosphere at the Strudel Festival, and families can enjoy an entertaining children's programme next to the parish church.
