Description
The return of festively decorated animals to their home village in the valley after a summer on the alpine pastures is celebrated fittingly each year, especially when the animals come back healthy and without incident. The cows that spend the summer on the Gramai-Alm are adorned in the morning on the day of the cattle drive and herded into the valley towards Pertisau at midday. Their big welcome celebration with music takes place in front of the Hotel Das Karwendel.
Already in the morning from 10 am, a traditional morning get-together with live music and a farmers' market at the Gramai-Alm ensures a cheerful start to the day. The day concludes with an evening at the Gramai-Alm mountain hut.
