Description

‘Brass music on the rocks’ is the motto of this unusual music festival. Over three days in March, 36 bands will be setting the mood in the ski resorts of the Brixen valley and on the main stages in the valley.

Now in its fifth year, the ‘Winter Woodstock of Brass Music’ takes place in Brixen, Kirchdorf and Westendorf, attracting brass bands from various countries as well as crowds of fans and music lovers. There is plenty of action across at least eight stages for three days – in the ski resorts during the day and at the festival grounds by the gondola base station in Brixen in the evening, where two large concert stages are set up. The programme features classical and modern brass music, folk, and dance music, along with the occasional party hit in the later hours. All concert venues are accessible to both skiers and pedestrians.
