Surrounded by the scenic backdrop of the Wilder Kaiser mountain range, there is the Zahmer Kaiser - Walchsee skiing area with its 25 km of ski slopes. The area is particularly suitable for beginners, families and those who would like to enjoy sports on snow, away from the large ski centres. What is worth mentioning is the kinderland at the Amberg ski lift, the kindergarden lift as well as a toboggan run Wilder Kaiser. This is where you can go tobogganing the whole year round, as in summer, the leisure centre Zahmer Kaiser offers a summer toboggan run.
The cross-country ski network comprises about 140 km of ski trails, which makes this area a real Dorado for those who love this sports. Particularly scenic is the high-altitude run at the Aschinger Alm pasture. And also in the Zahmer Kaiser - Walchsee skiing area you ski for free if you are aged 80+. By the way, if you wish for more variety, the “Alpen Plus Skipass” also makes you access the Sudelfeld, Spitzingsee-Tegernsee, Wallberg and Brauneck-Wegscheid skiing areas, all located in Bavaria in Germany.
