Kufstein - Hohe Salve - Wildschönau
This holiday area comprises three regions that complement each other with their beauty.
The city of Kufstein with its fortress represents the cultural centre of the region. This is where every year wine festivals, operettas, theatre and traditional highlights such as the return of the cattle and farmers’ markets take place. In the surroundings, there are the Hohe Salve with its charming holiday resorts, that is to say Wörgl or the pilgirmage site Mariastein, as well as the high valley of the Wildschönau.
In winter, the holiday area Kufstein - Hohe Salve - Wildschönau is located at the entrance of the largest ski resort of Austria, which is also known beyond borders, the “SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental”. On the 279 km of ski slopes you can endlessly enjoy skiing. What is also recommendable is of course tobogganing and après ski - a real must-do in Tyrol.
